Last night around 10pm, Jeff and I climbed into bed (look away, Mom) to wind down for the evening. Jeff with his smart political book, and me with my silly vampire book.
More than an hour later (which seemed like mere seconds by my account) we were both fighting gravity to keep our eyelids open, and although it was absolutely painful for me to peel this book out of my grip, I knew that I had to, or I would be up all night flipping pages like a rabid wildebeast.
I set my book on the night stand next to my side of the bed, and sighed a big heavy sigh.
J: So what's the big deal with this Edward guy anyway?
I couldn't even answer him. How does one even begin to answer that question!!? There are no words really... I just smiled at him.
J: I bet you wish I was a vampire!
(More smiling.)
J: Ohmygod! You DO! YOU WISH I WAS EDWARD, DON'T YOU!?!
(Giggling.)
J: I bet you dreeeeeeeeeeeam about him every single night, don't you!?!
S: I just started reading this book two days ago!
J: I bet you wish I was Edward and I was here to suck your blood....
Not gonna lie... My mind started to wander away to some very happy places with that thought... Until it was abruptly interrupted again by Jeff, in his best Transylvanian accent, doing his impression of the Count on Sesame Street.
J: ONE! ONE BLUEBERRY PANCAKE....... TWO! TWO BEAUTIFUL BLUEBERRY PANCAKES.... THREE....AH,AH,AH!
He may not be Edward Cullen, but he sure can make me laugh.
(However, if he WERE to suddenly become a vampire... I'm just sayin'.)

welcome to my world, steph. i knew you'd get here someday ;)

So you've been sucked into the cult, too, huh? Yeah, I'm there. I held out until after the movie came out and then I was too curious and just caved. I devoured the whole series in like, 5 days. I just reread it again this past week. It sucks you in. (no pun intended) ha ha!

You are sooooo funny! I have to say I've reread the books (in pieces) a couple of times. There are parts of the book I like and so I read those parts. Then I go back to another book and read my favorite part in that one!
I'm so glad you like the books. It's like a vacation for your mind :)
